Zusammenfassung
In der kinderärztlichen Praxis werden Patienten in den ersten Lebensjahren wesentlich
häufiger vorgestellt als beim Zahnarzt oder gar Kieferorthopäden. Aus diesem Grund
sollte bei dieser Gelegenheit auch der Gesundheit des orofazialen Systems besondere
Aufmerksamkeit gelten. Die Zahngesundheit und eine ausgewogene Funktion der orofazialen
Muskeln sind für die Entwicklung eines Kindes wichtig. Gravierende und behandlungsbedürftige
Anomalien zeigen sich schon im Rahmen einer klinischen Inspektion.
Im Folgenden sollen die wichtigsten Abweichungen der Zahnstellung, Kieferlage und
Funktion in Bezug zum Lebensalter und Schnittpunkte zu anderen medizinischen Fachdisziplinen
dargestellt werden. Berücksichtigung finden auch Aspekte der Orthopädie wie Haltungsschäden
und Beziehungen zur Naso- und Oropharynx.
Summary
The pediatrician often sees patients in the early years more often than the dentist
or even the orthodontist. For this reason the health of the system orofacial should
be in his special attention. The dental health and a balanced function of the orofacial
muscles are important for the development of a child. Serious and treated anomalies
show itself already in the context of a clinical inspection. Below are the main deviations
of the teeth, jaw position and function in relation to the age and intersections with
other medical disciplines represented. Also taken into account are aspects of orthopedics
as damaged possture and relations with the naso- and oropharynx.
