Akute myeloische Leukämie: HDC/Il-2 verlängert rezidivfreie Zeit

Bei Patienten mit einer akuten myeloischen Leukämie (AML) gilt es, noch vorhandene maligne Restzellen möglichst zu eradizieren und so ein Rezidiv der AML zu verhindern. Eine allogene Stammzelltransplantation ist wegen Komorbiditäten gerade bei älteren Patienten oft nicht möglich. Bessere Chancen auf einen wirksamen Schutz vor einem Rezidiv bietet ein neuer immuntherapeutischer Ansatz, die Kombination von Interleukin-2 (Il-2) plus Histamindihydrochlorid (HDC, Ceplene®), berichtete Prof. Kristoffer Hellstrand, Göteborg, auf dem EHA-Kongress 2011.
