Zusammenfassung

Anliegen Therapieempfehlungen von Angehörigen an ihre an psychotischen Störungen erkrankten Familienmitglieder.

Methode 52 Angehörige stationärer Patienten wurden befragt.

Ergebnisse Psycho- und Pharmakotherapie wurden von über 80 % der Angehörigen empfohlen. Befürchtungen limitierten die Empfehlung zur Pharmakotherapie, mangelnde Hoffnung auf Besserung die für eine Psychotherapie.

Schlussfolgerung Die Empfehlungen von Angehörigen könnten durch die Diskussion von Erfolgserwartungen bezogen auf Psychotherapie und Befürchtungen bezüglich Pharmakotherapie beeinflusst werden.

Abstract

Objective Therapy recommendations of relatives of individuals with psychotic disorders.

Method A total of n = 52 inpatient relatives were interviewed about their attitude towards psychotherapy and antipsychotics.

Results Over 80 % of the relatives recommended psycho- and pharmacotherapy. Concerns reduced recommendations for pharmacotherapy, poor/lack of hope for improvement reduced recommendations for psychotherapy.

Conclusion The relativesʼ therapy recommendations could be influenced by discussing their concerns and expectations of success.
