Zusammenfassung

Der Effekt von Kinesiotape auf die Neurodynamik ist bislang nicht untersucht. Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit war es, den Einfluss einer einmalige Applikation von Kinesiotape im Verlauf des N. ischiadicus auf den Straight-Leg-Raise-Test (SLR) und die Schmerzintensität bei Patienten mit einer unilateralen offensichtlich-auffälligen neurodynamischen Reaktion zu untersuchen.

Als Assessment dienten die Differenz des SLR, der Schmerzintensität und des Finger-Boden-Abstands vor und nach einer 20-minütigen Geheinheit auf einem Laufband sowie zwischen einer Interventions- und Kontrollgruppe. Der Interventionsgruppe wurde zusätzlich nach der 1. Messreihe und vor der Laufbandintervention ein Kinesiotape im Verlauf des N. ischiadicus appliziert, während die Kontrollgruppe die Intervention ohne Tape ausführte.

In der Interventionsgruppe zeigte sich eine statistische Verbesserung hinsichtlich des SLR. Die Schmerzintensität und der Finger-Boden-Abstand wiesen keine statistische Signifikanz auf.

Abstract

The effect of kinesiotape on neurodynamics has not been investigated to date. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of an one-off kinesiotape application along the sciatic nerve on the straight leg raise test (SLR) and on pain intensity in patients with evident unilateral neurodynamic reaction.

The difference of the SLR, the pain intensity and the finger floor distance before and after a 20 minutes treadmill walking as well as the difference between an intervention and a control group were used for assessment. The intervention group received an additional kinesiotape along the sciatic nerve after the first test series and before treadmill exercise whereas the control group performed the intervention without tape.

The intervention group showed a statistic improvement of the SLR. There was no statistic significance in pain intensity and finger to floor distance.
