Bindungstheorie

Die Bindungstheorie geht auf den britischen Kinderpsychiater John Bowlby zurück [1] [2] [3]. Sie bezeichnet es als universelles, primäres menschliches Bedürfnis, enge emotionale Beziehungen einzugehen. In diesem Kontext ist Bindung (engl. attachment) eine soziale Beziehung, die zuerst zwischen Säugling und vorrangiger Bezugsperson entsteht. Bowlbys Erkenntnisse beruhen auf Beobachtungen von Kindern, die lange Zeit von ihren Müttern getrennt waren. Aus biologischer Sicht führt Bindung zum Schutz durch die Eltern, der die Überlebenschancen des Kindes erhöht. [4]
