Paradigm Shift: Need of the Hour

The sail that homoeopathic research needs
Notwithstanding the official recognition to homoeopathy by respective governments in more than 20 countries for education, research and practice, the much-needed impetus to conduct research is still missing. The homoeopathic system has been subjected to vigorous criticism from the mainstream medicine that there is no scientific foundation for its claims and no convincing evidence of its efficacy from clinical trials.
As per the World Health Organization report 2019, homoeopathy is used in 100 member states with 22 member states having regulations for providers, while 13 member states have health insurance coverage. In 99 states, the main challenge with regard to regulatory issues is lack of research data. In 86 states, lack of financial support is the challenge, while in 73 states the main challenge is lack of education and training for CAM providers.
