Die Bestimmung des kardialen Troponins hat sich mittlerweile zu einem Eckpfeiler der Diagnostik des Myokardinfarkts entwickelt. Allerdings sind die Konzentrationen oft auch ohne akutes Koronarsyndrom (ACS) erhöht, und Kliniker stehen vor einer Herausforderung.
