Abstract

If chronic pain were easy to treat it would not be chronic pain. In this patient category psychosocial factors play a vital role. These can be easily identified using a basic knowledge of human psychology. As such manual therapists can establish a more trustful relationship with their chronic pain patients and improve the chances of a successful therapy.
