The Guest Editors of this issue of Seminars in Neurology are Drs. Abhimanyu Mahajan and Ludy Shih

Dr. Abhimanyu Mahajan is Assistant Professor of Neurological Sciences in the Rush Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders program at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. After medical school in Mumbai, India, Dr. Mahajan obtained a Masters in Epidemiology with a concentration in aging at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a certificate in gerontology from the Johns Hopkins Center of Aging and Health in Baltimore, MD. He completed his Neurology Residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and Movement Disorders fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, where he was the 2019 Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) clinical fellow. Dr. Mahajan has received funding from the DMRF, Sunflower Parkinson's Disease Foundation, and the Parkinson's Foundation. He is a member of the 2022 Movement Disorders Society (MDS) LEAP class. For his work on cervical dystonia and substance abuse using the Dystonia Coalition database, he received the 2018 American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Young Investigators Award. He received the 2018 Junior Investigator Award from the Parkinson Study Group for his work using magnetoencephalography in cervical dystonia. His efforts on exploring the clinical relationship between cancer and Parkinson's disease, biological opposites, led to the 2020 AAN Alliance Award: Founders. Currently, he serves on the AAN Graduate Education Subcommittee, AAN Movement Disorders Measurement Workgroup, and the MDS Dystonia Study Group.

Dr. Ludy Shih is Associate Professor of Neurology at Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA. Her undergraduate degree was from Stanford University, followed by her MD from UCLA. She subsequently received her MMSc from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC)-Harvard/Massachusetts Institute of Technology Health Sciences and Technology Clinical Investigator Training Program. All of her training was at the BIDMC/Harvard Medical School, including internship in Internal Medicine, residency in Neurology and fellowship in Movement Disorders. She joined Boston University in 2020, where she quickly achieved the rank of Associate Professor. She is the Director of the Neurology Residency Research Track, as well as the Deep Brain Stimulation Program and is an investigator with the BU Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and the Framingham Heart Study. She is a Fellow of the AAN, the American Neurological Association, and has served on the Experimental Therapeutics Section and Academic Neurology Committee at AAN. She is also a member of the MDS Tremor Study Group. She serves as Associate Editor for Annals of Clinical and Translational Neurology and for Frontiers in Pain Research (the Neuromodulatory Interventions Section).

We greatly appreciate the efforts of Drs. Mahajan and Shih, as well as all of the contributing authors, for their timely and insightful contributions to this issue of Seminars: Update on Movement Disorders. This issue runs the gamut, from ataxias and dystonias to genetics, ethics, imaging, and even delivering a difficult diagnosis. Special thanks to Drs. Mahajan and Shih, who expertly guided this issue to fruition, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the pages herein. We hope you enjoy this truly superb issue of Seminars in Neurology!
