It was brought to the authors’ attention by the RetractoBot initiative (https://www.retracted.net/)
that a paper that was cited in their article was retracted a year after the article
was published. Therefore, the authors wish to remove the sentence mentioning the retracted
paper and the related reference.The paragraph below Scheme 4 on page 332 should correctly
read: Phipps and co-workers later demonstrated that a meta-selective borylation could
also be facilitated by ion pairing rather than hydrogen bonds.18The following sentence
“Sawamura and co-workers recently harnessed both hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions
to form an enzyme-like cavity for site-selective asymmetric remote C–H borylation
of aliphatic amides and esters.19” was deleted.
Reference 19, referring to the retracted article (Reyes, R. L.; Sato, M.; Iwai, T.;
Suzuki, K.; Maeda, S.; Sawamura, M. Science 2020, 369, 970) was deleted.
The authors realize this information is beneficial for the chemistry community as
it helps the readers of Synlett to avoid citing a retracted paper.
