Bei der Behandlung primärer Kopfschmerzen gehen Psycho- und Physiotherapie Hand in Hand. Der vorliegende Übersichtsartikel stellt gemäß des bio-psycho-sozialen Krankheitsmodells zunächst psychologische Kopfschmerz-Faktoren sowie evidenzbasierte verhaltenstherapeutische Behandlungsansätze vor. Im zweiten Schritt werden daraus Implikationen für die Physiotherapie von Kopfschmerzpatienten abgeleitet. Fest steht: Ein Patient mit Migräne oder mit Spannungskopfschmerzen muss aktiv werden – geistig und körperlich.
