Abstract

The 10th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Libyan Cardiac Society Congress (CARDIOLIBYA 10) was held between October 10 and 13, 2024, at Misrata University, Misrata, Libya. Abstracts were received in three categories: clinical vignette, research, and quality improvement. All abstracts underwent a peer-review process by the scientific committee and independent reviewers. A grading system was used based on the abstract’s quality, novelty, and clinical significance. Here, we present the oral and poster abstracts submitted by the authors after minimal restyling to suit publication purposes. They are published here for rapid communication and to benefit those who could not attend the congress physically.

Introduction

The 10th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Libyan Cardiac Society Congress (CARDIOLIBYA 10) was held between October 10 and 13, 2024, at Misrata University, Misrata, Libya. In addition to the state of the art lectures, clinical practice symposia we have invited free communications to be presented from local and regional cardiologists. We publish here the abstracts of these free communications. as submitted by the authors with minimal editing and styling to meet the Journal's house rules. Sixty abstracts were received in three categories: clinical vignette, research, and quality improvement.

Most abstracts were clinical vignettes. All abstracts underwent a peer-review process by the scientific committee and independent reviewers. A grading system was used based on the abstract’s quality, novelty, and clinical significance. Each abstract was evaluated and scored by two reviewers. Out of 60 abstracts, 32 were accepted, 13 were oral communications, and 15 were poster presentations.

Here, we present the oral communication and poster abstracts of the congress as submitted by the authors. The first five abstracts (OC 1–5) are the winners of the Young Investigator Awards for best posters. Similar to our previous event, [1] the abstracts are published here for rapid communication and to benefit those who could not attend the congress physically.
