Gruppen.
Abstract
This article reviews the validity of the Denture Frame Analysis in Europeans
investigated in two former studies using 106 subjects assigned to four groups
(Angle Class I, II, III, anterior open bite) and 122 subjects assigned to
neutro-, disto-, and mesiocclusion as well as normal overbite, open bite,
and deep overbite. Significant differences among the groups were encountered
for most of the measurements investigated (p<0.05). The Denture Frame Analysis
indicated the occlusal plane orientation. The angle between occlusal plane
and mandibular plane differentiated all vertical groups significantly. The
horizontal groups differed significantly in the angle between A-B plane and
mandibular plane, and in the inclination of the upper incisor to A-B plane
(p<0.05). Therefore the Denture Frame Analysis distinuguished anteroposterior
and vertical groups.
