Dieser Beitrag beschreibt die Voraussetzungen und Ziele von Funktionsabformungen.
Die dominante Bedeutung der Integration perioraler Muskulatur in das Abformergebnis
für die Stabilität der Prothesenlage und damit den späteren Erfolg der Behandlung
wird dargestellt. Eine Übersicht über die Abformmaterialien und -methoden sowie die
Problematik der dorsalen Abdämmung im Oberkiefer vervollständigt die Betrachtungen.
Summary
This report describes the prerequisites and aims of functional impressions. The importance
of the integration of the perioral muscles into the impression for the resulting stability
of the denture and thus the subsequent treatment success is explained. An overview
on impression materials and methods as well as the critical issue of the maxillary
posterior dam completes the contemplations.
