Behandlung des Alkoholentzugs mit Tiaprid (Tiapridex^®) vs. Clomethiazol (Distraneurin^®)

Zusammenfassung

Patienten, die zum Alkoholentzug in unsere Klinik kamen, zeigten zunehmend einen Missbrauch, bzw. eine Abhängigkeit von Diazepam und/oder Clomethiazol. In dieser Problemlage scheint die Therapie mit Carbamazepin plus Tiaprid eine Lösungsmöglichkeit zu sein. Um die Wirkung im Vergleich zu Clomethiazol zu prüfen, wurden Patienten alternierend mit Carbamazepin plus Tiaprid (37 Pat.) oder Clomethiazol (28 Pat.) behandelt. Wir dokumentierten über einen Zeitraum von fünf Tagen den Verlauf mit dem Alkoholentzugs-Syndrom-Fragebogen (AES). Die Wirkung der Kombination von Carbamazepin plus Tiaprid zeigte am fünften Tag eine leichte Überlegenheit.

Abstract

Among patients with alcohol withdrawal syndrome a simultaneous abuse and/or addiction to Diazepam and/or Clomethiazol was increasingly observed. In this conflicting situation, therapy with Carbamazepin plus Tiapride offers a potential therapeutic solution. The efficacy of Carbamazepin plus Tiapride (37 pat.) compared to Carbamazepin plus Clomethiazol (28 pat.) was monitored over a period of 5 days using a standard alcohol withdrawal questionnaire. The combination of Carbamazepin plus Tiapride showed a slight advantage on the fifth day.
