Abstract
This report summarises update approaches to rehabilitation, according to the Göttingen
rehabilation concept, after surgery of acoustic neurinomas. It has again been possible
to substantially improve the results of rehabilitation. This is particularly true
of hypoglossus facialis jump anastomosis as an alternative to hypoglossus facialis
anastomosis. Additional progress was also achieved in treating synkinesias as a result
of more extensive and improved on-target injection of botulinum toxin A. Our experience
has shown that, in rehabilitation, on-target resection of parts of platysma is a useful
procedure.
