Publication History

Publication Date:
15 February 2006 (online)

We begin this new year with the excitement of increasing the number of issues per year from four to five. The decision to increase the number of issues per year was based on the rapid growth in our field, and the need to keep up with the new diagnostics and therapeutics available to us as we care for patients.

The first issue of 2006 is on Stroke Prevention. This is followed by an issue on Headache Disorders, Psychogenic Disorders, Hypoxic-ischemic Encephalopathy, and Brain Death, and then an issue on Neurogenetics. The Guest Editor of Stroke Prevention is Brad Worrall from the University of Virginia. Jerry Swanson from the Mayo Clinic is the Guest Editor of the issue on Headache Disorders. Stephen Reich from the University of Maryland edited the issue on Psychogenic Disorders. Romergryko Geocadin from Johns Hopkins is the Guest Editor of Hypoxic-ischemic Encephalopathy and Brain Death. John Fink from the University of Michigan edited the issue on Neurogenetics.

We decided to drop CME, as very few people use it and the bureaucracy involved has-on several occasions-delayed the publication of issues. If, however, this poses a hardship for our readers, I want to hear from you.

I hope you continue to enjoy Seminars in Neurology, and that it meets your educational needs.

With all best wishes
