ESGE Activities at the 15th United European Gastroenterology Week in Paris

The annual UEGW is without doubt one of the great highlights of the year with its many opportunities for professional exchange on various levels. This year for the first time the three individual postgraduate courses in endoscopy, liver diseases and gastroenterology have combined forces to offer a complete Postgraduate Teaching Programme.

We would also encourage all interested to visit the ESGE Learning Area on Level 3 of the Palais des Congrès in Paris. Activities here begin on Sunday morning with the opening of the operating theatre where eight stations will be set up for hands-on training on biologic models. Under the guidance of experts in their fields different techniques of endoscopy can be observed and practiced. Pre-registration at the ESGE reception desk on Saturday is recommended. Further activities in the ESGE Learning Area include an open hands-on theatre from Monday to Wednesday. Here you can experience newest technologies and discuss the advantages with doctors and representatives of the manufacturing companies. The success of the Lecture Theatre has encouraged us to expand this activity. From Sunday on there will be a series of 19 small-forum lectures on select topics. The DVD Learning Centre will be open throughout the opening hours of the general exhibition. Learn more about difficult techniques and new technologies from Europe, Japan and the United States.
