Zusammenfassung
Bestrahlungsschäden an Rumpf und Thorax umfassen nicht nur die oberflächlichen, sondern
auch die tieferliegenden funktionellen Strukturen mit daraus resultierenden Problemen.
Die Anforderungen an die plastisch-rekonstruktive Chirurgie beschränken sich somit
nicht nur auf die Wiederherstellung der Oberflächenkontinuität, sondern erfordern
auch eine Rekonstruktion tieferliegender funktioneller Defizite. Dies kann nur im
Rahmen eines interdisziplinären Vorgehens gewährleistet werden. Die Ausprägung der
Bestrahlungsfolgen sind vielfältig und benötigen eine individuelle Therapieauswahl,
die Erfahrung zu außergewöhnlichen Lösungsansätzen voraussetzen.
Summary
Defects of the trunk and chest-wall caused by irradiation with exposure of bone, tendons
and deep structures require careful analysis and appropriate selection of the tissue
that will provide coverage and reconstruction of form and function. Employing interdiciplinary
approach, plastic surgery will select adequate methods based on experience and anatomical
knowledge. It is essential to reconstruct soft tissue after careful multistaged surgical
debridement has been applied.
