Introduction

Giant ascending aortic aneurysms, defined as aneurysms greater than 10 cm in diameter, are rare [[1], [2], [3]], and emergency diagnosis and treatment is critical. Mortality is high due to aortic rupture or dissection prior to treatment. The present report illustrates that chest X-rays, an easy and affordable technique, should be routinely used in emergency departments for patients presenting with nonspecific complaints.
