Abstract

Today, a majority of anterior cross bite cases are treated with a face mask appliance with RPE, if needed. The author also uses a face mask for active correction of reversed occlusion and a chin cup appliance for retention during sleep, because a main factor of skeletal post-treatment change is a mandible. The chin cup appliance, although considered a classic, is still useful.
