Intraabdominal Incarceration through the Window of the Dorsal Peritoneum

Abstract

A one-and-a-half-year-old male infant is presented with a 3-day history of nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension and no stools. Upright abdominal x-ray revealed intestinal obstruction. Laparotomy demonstrated incarceration of the small intestine through a window of the dorsal peritoneum on the left side of the mesosigmoid.

Zusammenfassung

Ein 1 1/2-Jahre alter Junge wird vorgestellt, der 3 Tage lang unter Übelkeit, Erbrechen, Blähbauch und Stuhlverhalten litt. Die Röntgenleeraufnahme im Stehen legte den Verdacht auf eine intestinale Obstruktion nahe. Bei der Laparotomie fand sich eine Inkarzeration des Dünndarmes durch ein Fenster im dorsalen Peritoneum an der linken Seite des Mesosigmoids.
