Alkyl/benzyl N-alkyl-N-[aryl/alkyl(methoxy)methyl]-carbamates react with trialkylsilyl enol ethers in the presence of catalytic amounts of trialkylsilyl trifluoro-methylsulphonates (trialkylsityl triflates) to afford mixtures of diastereoisomers of the corresponding ß-ketocarbamates.
