André A. Neves et al. Detection of early neoplasia in Barrett’s esophagus using lectin-based near-infrared imaging: an ex vivo study on human tissue

This ex vivo experimental study examines a novel method for detecting Barrettʼs early neoplasia using near-infrared fluorescence imaging. Using 29 endoscopic mucosal resection specimens, this method shows a significant difference between neoplastic and non-neoplastic lesions that warrants a future in vivo human study.
