Zusammenfassung

Das Potenzpräparat Viagra® der Firma Pfizer ist in diesen Monaten seit 20 Jahren auf dem Markt. Der Beitrag soll einen Überblick geben hinsichtlich der physiologischen und biochemischen Wirkungsweise des Präparates, der Verträglichkeit und Wirksamkeit sowie der Relevanz aus sexualsoziologischer Sicht. Die Fachliteratur wird kritisch durchgesehen einschließlich neuerer Ideen hinsichtlich andersartiger Potenzmittel. Nach Angaben von Pfizer, das bis Mitte 2013 mit dieser blauen Pille 24,8 Milliarden US-Dollar umgesetzt hat, sollen 65 Millionen Männer über drei Milliarden Viagra®-Pillen eingenommen haben. Die Wirksamkeit war abhängig von den persönlichen Umständen. Diese Potenzpille passte hinsichtlich der Prozesse der Dissoziation, Dispersion und Diversifikation im Zuge der neosexuellen Revolution in unserer armseligen Sexualkultur wie die Faust aufs Auge. Fehlende Liebesbeziehungen kann sie aber ebensowenig ersetzen wie gestörte Intimbeziehungen reparieren.

Abstract

In the coming months the potency pill Viagra® from the company Pfizer will have been on the market for 20 years. This article gives an overview concerning the physiological and biochemical effects of this preparation, as well as tolerance and efficacy and its relevance from a sexual sociological perspective. The academic literature is examined critically, as well newer ideas regarding other potency pills. According to Pfizer, which achieved a turnover of 24.8 billion US dollars with this blue pill by the middle of 2013, 65 million men are said to have taken more than three billion Viagra® pills. Efficacy depended on personal circumstances. This potency pill was a perfect fit with regard to processes of dissociation, dispersion and diversification in the course of the neo-sexual revolution in our miserable sexual culture. Relationships that lack love cannot however be replaced by it, and damaged intimate relationships cannot be repaired by it either.
