Abstract

The authors present a comprehensive review article on the pathogenesis, the prevention strategies and the treatment options for surgery and spinal deformity correction in patients with elevated risk for neuromuscular related complications. In particularly, strategic concepts for prevention of neurologic deficits related to spinal ischemia during surgical spinal interventions are highlighted.
