Mauro Manno et al. Implementation of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) and European Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Nurses and Associates (ESGENA) sedation training course in a regular endoscopy unit

After endoscopy staff had completed the ESGE-ESGENA sedation program, the rate of adverse events of non-anesthesiologist sedation for endoscopy was found to be very low. The findings support the inclusion of the program in the training curriculum for endoscopists and nurses to ensure safe endoscopic procedures.
