Marco Antonio Alvarez-Gonzalez et al. Educational nurse-led telephone intervention shortly before colonoscopy as a salvage strategy after previous bowel preparation failure: a multicenter randomized trial

This randomized controlled trial investigates the efficacy of a telephone call from a nurse to reinforce bowel preparation instructions 48 hours before repeat colonoscopy in patients with previous inadequate bowel preparation. Although the strategy was not successful overall, per-protocol analysis of patients who were contacted showed significantly improved bowel preparation.
