Die Entwicklung von Hirnmetastasen ist eine gefürchtete Komplikation im onkologischen
Krankheitsverlauf. Zu den häufigsten Ursachen zählen das Bronchus- und Mammakarzinom
sowie das maligne Melanom. Diese werden kurz vorgestellt sowie die CT- und MR-Bildgebung
zur Hirnmetastasendiagnostik erläutert. Es werden die Behandlungsmöglichkeiten und
im Besonderen die Strahlentherapie im Rahmen der Bestrahlung von Hirnmetastasen thematisiert.
The development of brain metastases is a dreaded complication in the oncological disease
management. The most common causes include bronchial and breast cancer and malignant
melanoma. These are briefly introduced and CT and MR imaging for the diagnosis of
brain metastases are explained. The treatment options and in particular radiation
therapy in the context of irradiation of brain metastases are discussed.
