Sergei Vosko et al. Snare-tip soft coagulation is effective and efficient as a first-line modality for treating intraprocedural bleeding during Barrett’s mucosectomy

The efficacy of snare-tip soft coagulation (STSC) as a first-line therapy for treating intraprocedural bleeding during multi-band mucosectomy for Barrett's neoplasia was assessed in this study. Intraprocedural bleeding was seen in 63/292 procedures (21.6 %) and STSC was used in 81 % of these procedures. Hemostasis was achieved in 76 % by intention-to-treat analysis and in 94 % by per-protocol analysis.
