Art in Endoscopy: “Dinosaur birth?”

Herma H. Fidder

This image looks remarkably like a child’s novelty “growing dinosaur egg” at the moment of “hatching.” However, looking closely, you may see an unwanted concretion in the colon rather than the imminent birth of a toy triceratops.

Herma H. Fidder, Utrecht, The Netherlands

“Art in Endoscopy” is an initiative of four gastroenterologists in training that aims to display examples of the incidentally beautiful images that are sometimes encountered in regular endoscopic practice.
