Oswaldo Ortiz et al. Factors associated with complete clip closure after endoscopic mucosal resection of large colorectal polyps

This post hoc analysis of a randomized trial investigated the proportion of complete clip closures in patients who underwent clipping of the mucosal defect after endoscopic mucosal resection of nonpedunculated polyps larger than 20 mm. Of the 494 polyps included, 68 % were completely closed. Smaller polyp size, favorable access, complete lifting, en bloc resection, and serrated histology correlated with complete clip closure.
