Summary

Vesical neck obstruction in the female involves the proximal third of the urethra by hypertrophy, contracture and lengthening into the bladder. Clinically, one may find chronic cystitis, recurrent acute cystitis with dysuria, ascending pyelonephritis and residual bladder urine. If conservative management (urethral dilation) fails lateral incisions and fulguration of the vesical neck should be performed via panendoscope.
