Händehygiene – einfach, aber nicht trivial

Die Steigerung der Händehygiene ist eines der vorrangigen Ziele der WHO zur Erhöhung der Patientensicherheit. Dabei ist zwischen der alkoholischen Händedesinfektion und dem Händewaschen zu unterscheiden. Die alkoholische Händedesinfektion ist schneller, antimikrobiell effektiver und wesentlich hautschonender, deshalb sollte ihr, wo und wann immer möglich, der Vorzug gegeben werden. Die Compliance für die alkoholische Händedesinfektion ist optimierungsfähig, Kampagnen zu ihrer Steigerung müssen viele verschiedene Faktoren berücksichtigen, um zielführend zu sein.
