Diagnostic value of endoscopic ultrasonography in the esophageal carcinoma preoperative TN staging
Aim: To study the diagnostic value of endoscopic ultrasonography in the esophageal carcinoma preoperative TN staging.
Methods: There are 30 esophageal carcinoma cases, let them have EUS examination and TN staging; Compare EUS staging with surgical pathologic staging.
Results: The accuracy in TN staging of endoscopic ultrasonography are 76.7% (23/30), 83.3% (25/30) respectively; The rate of the preoperative T staging of EUS in early esophageal carcinoma is up to 100% compared with surgical pathologic staging.
Conclusion: The accuracy of EUS in esophageal carcinoma preoperative TN staging is relatively high, especially in the preoperative staging of early esophageal carcinoma; EUS has its unique diagnostic value and plays an important role in the timing of clinical treatment and the choice of surgical method.
