Kardiologische Diagnostik und Therapie

Zusammenfassung

In der Kardiologie wurden in den letzten beiden Jahrzehnten beachtliche Erfolge in Diagnostik, Therapie und der Lebenserwartung der Patienten erreicht. Die Vielfalt an diagnostischen und therapeutischen Instrumenten ist jedoch nicht ausschließlich ein Segen. Nicht immer notwendige Diagnostik und Polypharmazie bei älteren Patienten lassen bei konsequenter leitliniengerechter Therapie z. T. die Beleuchtung der Ursachen in den Hintergrund rücken. Der Autor skizziert die Leitlinienempfehlungen und verweist auf deren Vor- und Nachteile.
