Zusammenfassung
Hintergrund: Diagnostizieren stellt für Physiotherapeuten in Deutschland längst noch keine Selbstverständlichkeit
dar. Viele fühlen sich unsicher, ob sie überhaupt Diagnosen stellen dürfen. Wenn sie
Diagnosen stellen, bedienen sie sich häufig der ärztlichen Terminologie. In der Berufsgruppe
ist weder die Bedeutung einer berufsspezifischen physiotherapeutischen Diagnose verbreitet,
noch liegt eine einheitliche Vorstellung zu deren möglicher Struktur vor.
Ziel: Dieser Artikel präsentiert die Ergebnisse des Seminars „Handlungsfelder in der Physiotherapie“
im Wintersemester 2013 des Bachelor-Studiengangs Ergotherapie/Logopädie/Physiotherapie
an der HAWK Fachhochschule Hildesheim, Fakultät Soziale Arbeit zum Thema physiotherapeutische
Diagnose.
Methode: In diesem Seminar wurden Aufbau, Bedeutung, Nutzen und Notwendigkeit einer berufsspezifischen
Diagnose diskutiert und ein Baukastensystem zur Formulierung einer physiotherapeutischen
Diagnose entwickelt.
Ergebnisse: Die Bedeutung einer berufsspezifischen physiotherapeutischen Diagnose für die Professionalisierung
der Physiotherapie wird herausgestellt. Außerdem werden ausstehende Aufgaben für die
Weiterentwicklung des Baukastens und Überprüfung der Praxistauglichkeit beschrieben.
Schlussfolgerungen: Die geforderte berufsspezifische physiotherapeutische Diagnose sollte sich von der
klassischen ärztlichen Diagnose unterscheiden. Zur Systematisierung dient ein Baukastensystem
aus 7 Komponenten.
Abstract
Background: Diagnosing diseases is not a standard practice for physiotherapists in Germany. Many
therapists feel uncertain whether they are allowed to establish diagnoses at all.
If they establish diagnoses they often use a medical-based terminology. Within the
occupational group neither the relevance of a profession-related physiotherapy diagnosis
is widespread nor exists a uniform idea of its possible structure.
Objective: This article portrays the results of the seminar “Operational activities in physiotherapy”
during the winter term 2013 bachelor degree programme occupational therapy/logopaedics/physiotherapy
at HAWK Hildesheim, Department for Social Work on the topic physiotherapy diagnosis.
Method: In this seminar the establishment, importance, benefit and necessity of a profession-related
physiotherapy diagnosis were discussed and a modular design for establishing a physiotherapy
diagnosis was developed.
Results: The importance of a profession-related physiotherapy diagnosis for physiotherapy
professionalization is highlighted. In addition, future challenges for the modular
design’s advancement as well as the assessment of its practical feasibility are portrayed.
Conclusions: The stipulated profession-related physiotherapy diagnosis should be different from
the typical medical diagnosis. A modular design consisting of 7 components is used
for systematization.
