Zusammenfassung
Jede Handlung hat Konsequenzen, wobei die Auswirkung dieser Konsequenzen nicht immer
unmittelbar ersichtlich ist. Der in Mensch und Tier durch Bakterien gebildete Biofilm
ist eine Auswirkung, die ihren Anfang vermutlich vor 10 000 Jahren nahm, als die ersten
Siedlungen entstanden und damit die „Massentierhaltung“ begann, und die mit dem Einsatz
von Antibiotika und Desinfektionsmitteln vor etwa 100 Jahren verstärkt wurde. Bakterielle
Infektionen veränderten sich im Laufe der Zeit, und es fand eine Anpassung an die
jeweiligen Gegebenheiten statt. Das Endprodukt dieser bakteriellen Evolution weist
sehr komplexe Vorgänge auf und zeigt, dass es Intelligenz auch auf diesem Niveau gibt.
Summary
Every action has consequences and the impact of these outcomes is not always immediately
apparent. The biofilm formed by bacteria in humans and animals is an effect that started
probably 10 000 years ago, as the first settlements accompanied by “battery farming”
were founded. This was reinforced with the use of antibiotics and disinfectants about
100 years ago. Bacterial infections changed in the course of time, and adapted to
their respective circumstances. The final product of this bacterial evolution has
very complex operations, indicating the presence of intelligence at same level.
