Biobanking: Status Quo und Perspektiven – Biobanking - Welche Rolle spielt die Chirurgie, jetzt und in Zukunft?

Biobanking etabliert sich zunehmend als eigenes Forschungsthema. Vor allem aber nimmt die Bedeutung von Biobanken in der translationalen Forschung exponentiell zu. Mittlerweile gibt es dementsprechend auch in Deutschland zahlreiche staatlich geförderte Biobankinitiativen. Die Chirurgie spielt keine oder eine nur untergeordnete Rolle – bis auf wenige Ausnahmen.
