Zusammenfassung
Die Sprache und das Denken der Wirtschaftswissenschaften dringen immer stärker in
die Welt der Medizin und damit auch der Psychiatrie ein. Eine genaue Darstellung des
Begriffs »Wirtschaftlichkeit« als Maß für Kosteneffektivität erscheint daher angebracht,
ebenso wie die empirische Ermittlung der Effizienz. Für die alltägliche Führung von
Einrichtungen des Gesundheitswesens werden betriebswirtschaftliche Aspekte immer zentraler.
Beispielsweise verändern Umstrukturierung und erhöhte Dokumentationspflichten die
Arbeitswelt von Ärzten signifikant. Die Besonderheiten der Suchtkrankheiten und der
Suchthilfe verkomplizieren diese Situation. Es besteht deswegen die Gefahr, dass allzu
einfache ökonomische Maßstäbe zur Bewertung angesetzt werden. In diesem Beitrag werden
aktuelle Probleme der Finanzierung der Suchtkrankenbehandlung und die Probleme der
DRGs besprochen. Die Folgerung ist, dass sich die Suchtforschung besonders intensiv
um den Ausbau der Versorgungsforschung kümmern muss, um einseitig auf Kostenreduktion
ausgerichteten ökonomischen Forderungen sachlich und fachlich gegenhalten zu können.
Summary
The language and thinking of economics increasingly passes through into the world
of medicine and also of psychiatry. Therefore, a precise representation of the term
“efficiency” as a measure for cost effectiveness seems to be appropriate as well as
the empirical determination of efficiency. In everyday life of management of units
of health services, economic aspects more and more become central issues. Restructuring,
raised documentation standards e.g. change the working world of doctors significantly.
The special features of the addictive disorders and of the care system for addicts
make the situation more complicated. Thus there is the danger, that far too simple
economic measures are applied for evaluation. Current problems of financing addiction
treatment and the problems of the DRGs are discussed. It is the inference that the
field of addiction research must be concerned intensively with the expansion of supply
research in order to be able to reply on onesided economic demands with factual and
professional arguments.
