Abstract

In Germany too, the big social changes in the living and working situation have led to profound changes in the nutrition with far-reaching psychosocial consequences. These upheavals resulted − among other things − in the development of formerly rare diseases towards mass diseases of the Western culture, especially cardiovascular diseases and cancer diseases. In the article, the options in medical practices are discussed, to intervene in the pathogenesis chain of diseases and change it considering the psychosocial and economic frame conditions.
