Noch heute werden viele Gebärende in der letzten Phase der Geburt in Rückenlage auf dem Geburtsbett zu forciertem Pressen angeleitet. Unsere Autorin plädiert dafür, dieses Vorgehen als Routinemaßnahme aus dem Kreißsaal zu verbannen.
