Zusammenfassung

Häufige Folge eines Schlaganfalls ist eine Fußlähmung. Sie führt zu wesentlichen Beeinträchtigungen im Gangvorgang. Der Gang wird unsicher. Der Betroffene ist meist gezwungen, den Kopf zu neigen, da er ein visuelles Feedback des Gehens benötigt. Neben chirurgischen und konservativen Methoden hat sich in den letzten zehn Jahren die funktionelle Elektrostimulation als therapeutisches Therapiekonzept bewiesen.
