The synthesis of new methoxy-enynylcarbene tungsten complexes has been achieved by direct activation of terminal and silylated 1,4-diyn-3-ols. A preliminary study of their reactivities is reported, as well as the preparation of the parent aminocarbene complex (CO)5W=C(NMe2)(CH=CH-C≡CH).
