Alkenyl tellurides react with triethylaluminum at room temperature to give corresponding alkenyldiethylaluminums with retention of the stereochemistry of starting tellurides. The successive reaction of the formed alkenylaluminum with allyl bromide in the presence of CuI afforded a cross-coupling product as a single stereoisomer.
