An Unexpected Pelvic and Acetabular Fracture

Abstract

A very rare high anterior column fracture with extension into the sacroiliac joint is presented. This fracture was primarily overlooked. This reminds us that after an accident every clinical sign of a possible pelvic lesion should be taken seriously. Fissures or undisplaced fracture lines can be part of a more severe injury. Diagnostics should be continued until all characteristics of the lesion are completely understood.

Zusammenfassung

Eine sehr seltene hohe vordere Pfeilerfraktur, mit Einbruch in das Iliosakralgelenk, wird vorgestellt. Die Fraktur wurde zunächst übersehen. Es erinnert uns daran, dass nach einem Unfall jedem klinischen Zeichen einer möglichen Beckenverletzung nachgegangen werden muss. Fissuren oder unverschobene Frakturlinien können Teil einer schwereren Verletzung sein. Die Diagnostik soll fortgeführt werden, bis die Verletzung in ihrem vollen Umfang verstanden wird.
