Chris Paramore and I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Hurlbert contribute to this volume of Seminars. As a non-spinal surgeon, one of the more frightening areas of evaluation and treatment for me is the craniocervical junction. Dr. Hurlbert has compiled one of the more extensive reviews of this foreboding region. I know that the readership will make good use of the insights enclosed and appreciate the efforts that Dr. Hurlbert and his contributors have made.
