Medikamentöse Interaktionen in der Parkinson-Therapie

Zusammenfassung

In der medikamentösen Therapie des Parkinson-Syndroms werden unterschiedliche Substanzgruppen eingesetzt. Diese können einerseits verschiedene unerwünschte Wirkungen haben, anderseits aber auch untereinander Interaktionen aufweisen. Da ein Großteil der Patienten wegen anderer Erkrankungen zusätzlich Präparate erhält, besteht eine Vielzahl weiterer Interaktionen, die viel relevanter sein können. Daraus ergeben sich unter Umständen Verstärkungen und Abschwächungen der individuellen Wirkung, bis zu lebensbedrohlichen Interaktionen. Dies ist bei der Therapie zu berücksichtigen.

Summary

A variety of different substances are currently used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. These may be associated with a range of undesired effects, and also interact with one another. Since a large number of patients are also taking medication for co-existing conditions, numerous other interactions can occur that might be of even greater relevance. Consequent effects might be either augmentative or inhibitory in nature - even to the point of life-threatening interactions. Such a possibility must be taken into consideration when initiating treatment.
