Abstract
Lithium hexafluorophosphate is found to be an efficient catalyst for the tetrahydropyranylation
of tertiary alcohols with dihydropyran under mild reaction conditions.
Key words
alcohols - Lewis acids - lithium hexafluorophosphate - protecting groups - tetrahydropyranylation
