Summary

Hyperactivity may change to internal restlessness and impulsivity, attention deficit does not strike so much due to strategies for compensation: adult ADHD is characterised by a widening of symptoms and an higher incidence of comorbidities. This is explained by the reduced facilities of self control and the smaller capabilities to cope with traumata.
